The Butler-Tarkington neighborhood lies within the northwest quadrant of the old city limits of Indianapolis, bordered by 38th and Meridian Streets and the old Central Canal. It draws its name from Butler University, which relocated to the district in 1928, and Booth Tarkington, a well-known Hoosier author who, at one time, maintained his home in the area on Meridian Street.

The Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association represents more than 18,000 residents, businesses, and community stakeholders who live and work in the eight zones that make up MK.

Arden is a secluded residential neighborhood on the north side of Indianapolis, Indiana. The neighborhood is about a 15-minute drive from downtown. It is bounded by 71st Street on the north, Pennsylvania Street on the west, College Avenue on the east, and the White River on the south. Arden is directly north of the Broad Ripple Village neighborhood and is bounded by the community of Meridian Hills on the north, east, and west.

The historic Forest Hills neighborhood has been an Indianapolis standout since 1922. Our residents are known for established and growing families, singles, and acceptance for all.

While the houses feature enchantingly unique architecture and quaint yards with mature trees, one of Forest Hill’s most alluring aspects is the community atmosphere evidenced as one strolls along the garden-lined sidewalks. Many a lifelong friendship have been forged in this charming environment.
